Creation - Elements

You can copy content within or between any two topics you are the creator of. Plus, you can also copy entire parts/steps/facts!

How do I copy content or elements within or between topics?

There are a range of possible content elements you can use to capture knowledge in your topics.

What content can I add?

To clarify limitations or responsibilities and prevent misunderstandings or legal issues, you may wish to include a disclaimer in your topic.

How do I add a disclaimer to my topic?

Tribal Habits automatically calculates completion time for topics.

How is the length (time) of a topic calculated?

There are several elements (Embed, Video, Narration, Download) that allow you to show slides (or Power Point) within a topic.

Can I upload slides (PowerPoint or Keynote) into a topic?

Use the Quote element, with a variety of layouts, to highlight quotes or key messages.

What are my options to format text content?

Insights are short ‘bites of expertise’ which highlight key points or expand on core content in your topic or article.

What are 'insights' elements used for?

You can think of Sections as sub-headings or section breaks within the points of your topic or article.

How do I add new sections or sub-headings?

How to embed third-party external content like Youtube, Vimeo, Wikipedia, Slide Share, Prezi, Flicker, GoogleMaps, Typeform or Soundcloud.

Can I embed content (like Youtube, Slide Share, Googlemaps) into a topic?

The PDF element displays a PDF within your topic. This could be a PDF of PowerPoint slides, a Word document, spreadsheet, form, etc..

How can I display a PDF for learners (or slides or a document)

The Audio element allows you to upload audio, record your voice or utilise our automatic AI dictation to read out your script.

How can I add an audio file, or record my voice or have automatic dictation?

The Hotspot element allows creators to combine text and images into a single interactive element.

How do I add a labelled graphic or use the hotspot element?

Narration allows you to create fully narrated slideshows using text, images, AI voiceovers or your own recorded audio.

When you are creating topics, you can upload videos for learners to view as part of their training.

How do I add videos to a topic?

The Download element allows you to share files with explorers during the learning process.

How do I provide a file or template for explorers to download?

You can add images to any topic - upload your own images or select from our image library, as well as edit images online.

How do I upload or import images to a topic?

The Slideshow element allows course creators to present information to learners using a series of slides.

What is the Slideshow element used for?

Add characters and short messages throughout your topic to highlight key ideas and information.

How do I use the Callout element?

The Task element allows creators to set a defined task for explorers.

You can use the Embed element to embed your H5P interactions into any Tribal Habits topic.

The button element allows you to include a button linking to a website from your training content.

The Sort element allows you to quiz learners' in their ability to accurately group items into categories.

You can use the Upload element to allow learners to submit files for online storage or review and assessment.

How can explorers upload documents or files for review or assessment?

The 'Fill-In' element allows you to create quizzes requiring learners to type in responses to questions rather than choose from options.

The Reflect element is a reflection and social learning element.

How can I use the Reflect element for social learning?

The Match element allows you to create a quiz based on matching, sorting or ranking knowledge.

How can I create a match or ranking interaction or quiz?

The Q&A element allows you to ask a question and capture written responses from explorers.

What is the Q&A element used for?

The Poll element enables course creators to include surveys for explorers to respond to during online learning.

How do I add a poll or survey?

You can create a quiz anywhere in your topic or article with the Quiz element. Quizzes can optionally include images.

How do I create a quiz or use images in a quiz?

We recommend setting up a topic for providing access to external online training such as SCORM in Tribal Habits.
