The Callout element allows creators to include a character, background, and short message at any point within a topic to emphasise important information, like a visual quote or tip.
Note: The Callout element uses the same characters and backgrounds as the Scenario element, making it easy to use them together for a consistent look and feel. For more information about the Scenario element, click here.

Add the element to your topic or article by selecting the 'Callout' option from the Content box, then:
Add your speech bubble text. We recommend keeping the text short.
Select your speech bubble position: left side or right side.
Select your speech bubble style: thinking or saying.
Select a background for your Callout and indicate the level of background blur.
Select a character and their pose for the Callout.
Click Save.
Note: As you configure your Callout, a visual preview will appear below. Please note that this preview does not include your text content. To view the complete Callout, including your text, click the ‘Preview’ button located at the top right of the page.

The following options are available to you as you create your Callout:
Characters and poses: Choose from existing characters and poses (shared with the Scenario element). Unlike the Scenario element, it is not possible to create a Callout that does not include a character.
Text style: Specify how the text appears. Text can be displayed as a speech bubble or thinking bubble.
Speech or thinking bubble placement: Set which side of the character shows the bubble (left or right).
Background: Select a scene that matches your topic or is consistent with a Scenario element included in your topic, along with the level of blur.

Use Callouts to reinforce or highlight key ideas. We do not recommend using the Callout element to introduce complex or lengthy content.
Keep messages short and clear - one idea per Callout.
