Topics and Articles have their own 'General' settings, which provide various options you can perform to help manage your Topic or Article. Please review this article here for Pathways, as they have different options available.

To access these settings, navigate to Admin โ†’ Knowledge and select either Topics or Articles (depending on which type you are looking to update). Once you have navigated to the required knowledge type, locate the specific knowledge in the list (or use the search functions to locate) then click on the title to be taken into the specific knowledge overview.

Here, you will find the 'Settings' tab, which once you select this you will see a 'General' section as your first option.

Select 'Edit General', where you can then perform the following actions:

  • Visibility: Manage the visibility of your Topic or Article from the options of Active, Draft or Archived.

  • Categories: Set your categories assigned to the selected knowledge.

  • Skills: Set the skills assigned to the selected knowledge.

  • Delete Protection: Manage the Delete Protection settings for your knowledge.

  • External ID: Create a customised string for the topic or article for use in webhooks or our public API.

Note: When adding Categories or Skills, remember these must already be set up to be able to assign.
