How can I assign a code to my topic or pathway?

Each topic or pathway can have a unique code assigned that appears after the title, is searchable, and shows on completion certificates.

You might want to use a code if your organisation has internal naming conventions or reference numbers for training, such as “FA101” for First Aid or “HR202” for a HR module.

Codes make it easier for admins to identify and track topics, especially when managing large sets of content. Codes appear in brackets after the topic or pathway title, are included in search results, and also show on completion certificates.

Note: You can assign codes to any topic or pathway in your portal, including imported library topics.

To assign a code, open your topic or pathway in the Admin Knowledge area of your portal and go to the Settings tab.

In the 'General Settings', enter the desired code in the 'Code' field and save your changes.
