Roadmap
Our roadmap is subject to change and not a guarantee of a new feature or within the outlined timeframe. If you would like to provide ideas for a feature in development or check if we have a feature on the future roadmap, please contact our support team.
In Development
Customised email notifications. We will be adding the invitation email to the new templates and allowing it to be customised.
Customised email notifications. We are in the process of migrating all the remaining platform emails to the new templates (event registration and waitlisting, assessor notifications, assessment retake, etc...).
Improved process to update topics in pathways. We are improving the process when adding, moving or removing topics from a pathway.
Migrate the SCORM tab in a topic to the new Analytics style - this should be the last report in the old style.
Scheduled Next
Sage AI Transform. We just need to add the File content option to finish this feature.
Pathway scheduled release. Admins will be able to schedule the timed release of topics within a pathway, to drip feed topics over a scheduled period of time instead of all at once.
Pathway update notification. Admins will be able to notify learners when the topics in a pathway are updated (added or removed).
Learner scheduled deactivation and scheduled reactivation notifications. Admins will be able to set automated notifications to learners about their scheduled deactivation dates, as well as once scheduled reactivation has occurred.
Retake enrolment notification. We will be adding a new enrolment notification for retake enrolments (making it clearer that the enrolment is a retake). This notification will be customisable.
Bulk download of files / certificates. We are investigating ways for admins to do a bulk download of uploaded files or certificates of completion (e.g. into a zip file).
Learner Homepage expansion: Team graphs. We will be improving the Team page with new graphs and aggregated data about teams to make reporting for team leaders and managers even easier.
Additional Analytics reports. We will be adding a range of new analytics reports including knowledge notifications and certificate list.
Changelog for 2025
Library change log: Updated library modules
10 JUL 2025 (Release 12060)
This update continues a staged rollout of the new Dashboard on the learner Homepage. We are rolling out to 20-30 organisations per day and aim to migrate all organisations by the end of next week.
Feature - More emails migrated to the new templates including the creator invitation (when a user is assigned as a creator to a topic), the assessment retake email in a topic and the topic self-enrolment email (triggered when a user self-enrols via the catalogue, auto-enrol link or token). We have also added a new pathway self-enrolment email to match (this was previously not available).
Tweak - We have tweaked the process of determining if a video has been fully watched (for videos which require 100% watch) to catch some extreme edge cases where learners may skip around the video multiple times.
Tweak - We have updated the learner UI for assessable elements to make feedback on pending, passed and failed results more consistent across elements (and preparing for a larger upgrade to assessable elements in the future).
Tweak - We've updated some behind the scenes code which should speed up some Analytics reports, especially in larger organisations with big data sets (over 5,000 enrolments in a single topic).
Fix - An update to the Firefox browser resulted in a bug where CSV imports saved in the UTF8 format were unable to be used in that browser. We have tweaked code to accommodate that.
Fix - Some emails with the new template were losing some of their header formatting when sent. That should now be fixed.
Fix - Restricted and Reporting admins were able to click on links to topics and pathways from one of our new Analytics reports - they cannot any longer!
26 JUN 2025 (Release 11979)
After a 3 week pause in new features as we updated some infrastructure, we now have a few weeks of a LOT of pent up new features, starting today...
Feature - Callout element. Creators have a new fun element to play with: Callout. Callout is an extension of the Scenario element, allowing creators to use a character and background from Scenario and have that character make a 'statement' in a speech bubble or thought bubble. Like Quote or Insight, Callout helps highlight important information. Callout also combines with Scenario and Narration if you are using a character/avatar through your topic.
Feature - Topic and Pathway codes. If your organisation uses codes for topics or pathways (e.g. your First Aid topic is also known as FA101), then your admins can now add a code to any topic or pathway. Codes show in brackets after the topic or pathway title and are included in searches. Codes also show in a dedicated space on completion certificates.
Feature - Topic Versions analytics report. This new (and commonly requested) analytics report summarises the version history of all your topics, including version numbers, dates, publishers and version notes, making it easier to audit changes in your platform.
Feature - Topic Settings and Pathway settings analytics reports. These two new analytics reports summarise key settings enabled in your topics and pathways, making it easier to audit dates and processes.
Feature - Homepage backgrounds. For a bit of visual flair, you can now set a background pattern for your learner homepage! Super Admins can edit this setting on Admin/Account/Brand.
Tweak - Admins can now set Deletion Protection on their topics via a bulk action on the Admin/Knowledge page!
Tweak - The team leader, learner and assessor email reports have been migrated to the new email templates (and can be viewed by Admins in Admin/Account/Emails).
Tweak - It was previously a bit tricky to remove a due date from an enrolment, so we have added a new bulk action 'Remove due date' on the enrolment reports as well as a link to remove due dates when viewing the progress page of a single enrolment.
Tweak - The summary field for a point (step, part, idea, fact, rule) in a topic now has an alignment option, allowing you to justify or right align the text in the summary if required.
Tweak - Admins can now select up to 10 (instead of 5) custom fields to be included in some areas of filtering in admin.
Fix - The self registration page, if activated, could allow a learner to accidentally register twice using a token if they clicked the register button very very quickly (probably as more of a glitch in their browser). While very rare, we have updated the register button to only accept a single click regardless.
Fix - When learners were viewing a topic on a mobile phone, the Explore button to enter a point (step, part, idea, fact, rule) was not showing by default for all points (only for the current point). Explorers had to click on the point to make the Explore button show. We have fixed that.
Fix - We have altered the aspect ratio of the Card and Flipcard layouts of the Interact element for mobile phones (to match the ratio on non-mobile devices) to ensure cropped images always display the same on those layouts regardless of device.
Fix - We fixed a glitch in event registration emails that was causing the location of some events to always show as Online even if it was in person.
Fix - The Next Enrolment and Next Recertification popups were showing archived pathways as a possible selection (which, if selected, would lead to an error later since new enrolments are not possible in archived pathways). We have removed archived pathways from the choices in the popup.
30 MAY 2025 (Release 11770)
Feature - All organisations have now been migrated to the new Email Notifications templates for topics and pathways, and Custom Email Notifications are now available (access is dependent on your plan). We are now converting all email notifications to the new templates (a process that will take 1-2 months).
Feature - The self-registration feature has been given a refresh. Admins can now toggle custom fields for use on the self-registration page, allowing learners to set or add data directly into the selected custom fields. The self-registration page itself has also received updated styling inline with the general login pages (and its also improved on mobile devices).
Tweak - Password reset email notification has been moved to the new templates.
Tweak - The All Events analytics report has been tweaked to show more information about each session - the type of session and location. This will make it easier for Admins to filter for simultaneous sessions in the same event.
Tweak - We have added a few more Google Fonts to the list of Brand fonts: Albert Sans and Merriweather.
Tweak - We updated the Event registration process to prevent a learner from opening a topic in two tabs and registered twice for the same session in each tab (yes, it was a thing apparently!).
Fix - We fixed a bug preventing parent admins from copying elements between topics they are editing in child portals.
Fix - We fixed a few things on the new learner Homepage - optional topics were not always showing in pathways and completion certificates were sometimes showing when they were disabled in a topic or pathway.
Fix - The Sort element had a little bug where it had to be inserted twice before it appeared! Fixed!
27 May 2025 (Release 11723)
Feature - All organisations have now been migrated to the new learner Homepage. We have updated support articles and also updated the learner and manager training modules in the library to reflect these changes. There are still a bunch of new features coming to the Homepage over the next few months (see Roadmap above) but these changes dramatically speed up the Homepage while offering a range of new features.
Tweak - Sage AI Summary updated. Sage AI Summary was the very first AI content feature added. We have given it a bit of an upgrade with new techniques learnt from the Sage AI Transform feature.
20 May 2025 (Release 11690)
Feature - Improved admin pages for Roles, Competencies and Skills. We have updated the admin pages for creating and managing roles and skills to use the newer UI from Analytics. This also fixes a bug with filtering on these pages.
Tweak - We have added the CPD reporting back to Profile pages on the new homepage (it was missing!). We have also tweaked a few mobile related views on the new homepage.
Tweak - We have tweaked the template certificates for Pathways to allow the Pathway Content field to expand to use all available space. This will help show more topics within that pathway for pathways with LOTS of topics!
Tweak - We have tweaked how some more event location links show in the event element (Google Maps and a few other things).
Fix - We have fixed some issues with uploading or updating enrolments and external knowledge with skills - its all working reliably now. Uploading external knowledge with skills also now uses a single column for skills (instead of skill 1, skill 2 and skill 3 columns).
15 May 2025 (Release 11651)
Tweak - We have made some slight changes to the handling of Download CSV reports from Analytics. First, we are now retaining those CSVs for 365 days (not 30 days) for increased auditing. Second, we are now tracking the creation and downloading of CSVs by admins in the Timelines report (again for improved auditing).
Tweak - We have tweaked the Events element so that if the capacity of a session is increased and there are people on the waiting list for that session, then those people will be registered for the session (up to the new capacity limit).
Fix - We fixed a couple more final issues on the new learner Homepage based on customer feedback.
14 May 2025 (Release 11633)
We have begun releasing the new custom email notifications feature. This is a staged rollout with 20-50 new organisations receiving the new custom notifications each day. We will update the ChangeLog one the roll-out is complete. We are in the process of preparing new support articles.
Tweak - We have tweaked the equivalencies feature based on customer feedback. The second option for equivalencies - which forces a retake in the equivalent topic - now first checks if the equivalent topic has a certified date setting and applies that certified date if so (even if the master topic has a certified date setting).
Tweak - The Skills Attained analytics report now supports more than 10 skills on screen at once.
Tweak - Lots of little tweaks for the new learner Homepage based on customer feedback. We are on track to release the new Homepage for all organisations in the next week.
Fix - A few panels in the admin area were not always saving changes in certain circumstances. They are now.
Fix - Sage AI Transform was not allowing creators to select content in a part if that part contained a placeholder element. That's fixed.
8 May 2025 (Release 11588)
We have begun releasing the new learner Homepage. This is a staged rollout with 20-50 new organisations receiving the new Homepage each day. We will update the ChangeLog one the roll-out is complete. We are in the process of updating library topics and support articles related to this change.
7 May 2025 (Release 11572)
Tweak - We have now fully deprecated Activities. If your organisation still has Activities modules within a topic, they should be disabled and recreated in another point in your topic. Activities no longer receive notifications or reporting.
6 May 2025 (Release 11558)
Feature - Admins can add a wider range of user Types. Historically, the Type field for users supported just 3 options - staff, client, prospect. We have now significantly expanded this list to 17 choices! This also meant substantial changes to filters to handle this range. Admins can now apply these choices (see support article for full list) in all the same ways - manually, via CSV import, via API but also via LMS Link or Self-Registration Token.
Feature - Section Notes. Creators are now able to add hidden notes to each Section element in a topic. These notes will be used in an upcoming AI feature, but will also allow creators to leave notes about what should be covered in each section or any other 'behind the scenes' information for that section.
Feature - Improved item deletion (and duplication) within an element. We have updated the UI for creators when editing a multi-item event (e.g. Tabs, Hotspot, Slideshow or Narration) to improve the process for deleting items - a confirmation is now required before deletion. We have also added a "Duplicate item" option for slideshow, interact and hotspot layouts to further improve editing options for creators (not for Narration which does not really benefit from this).
Tweak - We have fully deprecated the Old Events element. Extensive notice was given for this deprecation in July 2024.
Fix - Our rich text editor wasn't behaving quite as it should in some areas of admin - that's now fixed.
30 April 2025 (Release 11508)
Feature - Scheduled reactivation date. Admins can now assign a scheduled reactivation date to users (the same way they can apply a scheduled deactivation date). This feature may be useful for users who are scheduled to return from a leave of absence. The date can be set in all the same ways as the scheduled reactivation date - manually, via CSV import or via Public API or Zapier AI. For customers utilising our managed integration services, we will review each integration over the next month to potentially add this field into the integration to sync users who are on leaves of absence.
Tweak - More scenario characters. We have add a bunch more scenario characters, bringing the total to
28 April 2025 (Release 11507)
Feature - Sage AI Transform updated again! Creators can now have the AI generate three different types of Q&A interactions, including feedback. This completes the initial range of output options for Sage AI Transform.
Tweak - We added a new Turkish AI voice for Narration, Audio and other elements which support AI voices.
Fix - One of the standard Q&A in the Overview module for a topic was showing some incorrect system text after an explorer submitted a response - that's now fix.
Fix - We found a few more mentions of 'articles' in the UI and removed them. No doubt, there are still some more to go!
22 April 2025 (Release 11476)
Feature - Quick Transform for creators. When creators are editing a topic, they now see a new icon when hovering over elements - the Sage AI Transform icon. This is a new 'quick transform' process, allowing a creator to select an element and click that icon to bring up the Sage AI Transform process with the content from that element pre-selected. This also works for sections (where all supported elements in that section will be pre-selected). Note that not all elements can be transformed - images, videos, files, task and event element (as examples) cannot be selected this way (nor can they be selected as part of the standard Sage AI Transform process. This 'quick transform' allows creators to further speed up AI content creation or transformation.
Tweak - Better display of virtual meeting URLs for Events. We have tweaked the UI for the Events element to better display links for Teams and Zoom meeting (plus a few other popular virtual services) as well as Google Maps. So instead of seeing a very long URL link, learners now see 'Teams meeting - join here' or similar. If your virtual services or map is not supported by this process, please reach out to the support team to have it added.
Tweak - We have added to more types of Documents to the External Knowledge / Document type - Registration and Membership. These additional types may assist with recording professional memberships.
12 April 2025 (Release 11448)
A little while between updates here as our teams are working hard on two large features - learner homepage and custom notifications - which have now entered final testing. Expect some big things in about 2-3 weeks.
We've also created a new Change log for our Library topics!
Feature - New Creator element: Profile. Surprise! We have a new creator element for you called Profile. It's a very unique element that allows learners to update parts of their profile during a topic - like checking their email address or updating custom fields. Note that this element is disabled in all portals by default as many organisations may not need this element. For organisations that could use this element (especially those training customers or third-parties), then it must first be enabled by a Super Admin. Admins must then also determine what fields are allowed to be used by creators. Creators can then specify individual fields for use in the element as needed. Learn more in this support article.
Feature - Sage AI Transform updated! We have added the Scenario element to Sage AI Transform. Yes, that's right - you can now have branching scenario interactions automatically created by the AI. There are a few limitations as this is an extremely complex interaction - learn more in our support article.
Tweak - We have tweaked quite a few of the Sage AI Transform options to further improve results.
Tweak - Admins can now search for creators and assessors to assign to a topic via first and last name.
Fix - We fixed a little annoyance that if an admin edited more than one notification panel for a topic or pathway at once, that the edits to the second panel did not always save. They should now.
Fix - Quizzes set to dropdown layout were showing one column layout instead! Not any more.
Fix - Q&A responses copied into learner journals were showing some raw HTML formatting - now journals show the text formatted correctly.
21 March 2025 (Release 11284)
Feature - Sage AI Transform updated! We have added the Hotspot element to Sage AI Transform. This is a bit of a tricky one, as Hotspot needs an image! So for now, once the Hotspot is created by the AI, it is inserted into your topic in placeholder mode. Creators will need to click on it to edit it and add their image - they will see the created markers with their text/titles already there.
19 March 2025 (Release 11271)
Feature - Sage AI Transform updated! We have added the Sort element to Sage AI Transform. This is a great addition as Sort is one of the more complex interactions to create and the AI does a fantastic job at building these elements quickly. Just a few more left to complete now!
Feature - Master switch to temporarily disable all email notifications. Super Admins now see a new feature toggle on Admin/Accounts/Subscriptions which allows them to temporarily disable ALL email notifications in the portal. This may be useful when admins are doing bulk updates to enrolments or data migration. However, this setting also disables system invitations and password reset emails, so it should only be enabled temporarily and with caution.
12 March 2025 (Release 11238)
Feature - Sage AI Transform updated! Another update for the Transform feature, which can now handle both Columns and Match. For Columns, the AI can simply create two columns of text, or it can create 'contrasts' between the columns like Myths v Facts. The Match feature can create various types of quizzes - definitions, steps, dates - as well as a 'random' match pattern determined by the AI.
Feature - Equivalency feature updated. We launched the equivalency feature last December - it allows topic A to set topic B to completed when those two topics are deemed as equivalent. We've updated this feature based on customer feedback for a second options - it can now not only set topic B to complete when topic A is complete, but it can also trigger a retake enrolment in topic B and set the certified date of the topic B enrolment to match the certified date of the topic A enrolment.
Tweak - We tweaked a few 'sub titles' shown to learners in elements like quiz and poll.
Tweak - We adding a Link option to the login page text (to better display embedded URL links on the login page).
4 March 2025 (Release 11201)
Feature - Sage AI Transform updated! Sage AI Transform can now create insights! The AI creates 7 different types of insights from your content you can then select the one you would like!
Fix - Admins couldn't delete external knowledge using the Bulk Action on Admin/Knowledge/External. Now they can again.
26 February 2025 (Release 11134)
Feature - Sage AI Transform updates! More AI goodness for content creators.
The Quiz output has had a big update! Instead of just selecting the number of answers in your quiz, you can now select from 9 different types of multiple choice quiz styles. This gives creators a huge increase in the diversity of quiz questions they can ask about their content.
The Text output has added a new 'Unchanged' tone. This tone keeps your existing text largely unchanged and will only make changes for typos or grammatical errors.
We've now added the Length and Tone options to Accordion, Acronym, Buttons, Card, Checklist, Flipcard, List, Process, Tabs and Timelines. This gives creators a lot more options for transforming content into these interactive elements in different ways. It also includes the new Unchanged tone which, when combined with the Unchanged length option, will help creators 'copy and paste' existing text which is already preformatted for these interactions with minimum changes.
24 February 2025 (Release 11096)
Feature - Sage AI has been upgraded. Great news - we just got access to the latest versions of some of the AI models we utilise through AWS and all the Sage AI processes have been migrated to those new models. This should result in even better AI output (and slightly faster response times).
Tweak - For Assessors, when assessing Q&A, Task and Upload elements, the table of submissions now has pagination on the top and bottom, but also doesn't reload after an assessor uploads/removes a file or sends a learner notification. Sometimes, its the little things that make a difference.
Tweak - Slideshow element has a new 'do not scale' option to give creators a little more control over smaller or irregularly sized images in a slideshow.
This build also has lots of behind the scenes updates for the custom email notifications feature.
18 February 2025 (Release 11063)
Tweak - Hotspots now only need a single marker (previously they needed 2).
Fix - For creators only when editing a topic, some text in some elements was not showing in the brand font when saved (it was showing in a system font). It was showing the correct font for learners, but now creators see the correct fonts all the time.
Fix - Seems the Overview image, which can be set to appear on the Overview module in a topic, when walkabout. It's back from its travels and showing.
16 February 2025 (Release 11054)
Tweak - We missed a couple of filters which still had 'Articles' - now they have 'Topics'!
Fix - Graphs on the Platform Activity report in Analytics were not correctly adjusting for different selected time periods - now they do.
14 February 2025 (Release 11047)
Tweak - We have tweaked the code running the auto-enrolment for topics and pathways to run more efficiently. This may also help address an edge case issue where a learner happens to self enrol in a topic at the exact same time it is running the auto-enrolment process for that learner in that topic (which can result in duplicate enrolments).
Fix - When deleting a single topic in the admin area (via the 'I want to' menu), Admins were seeing an error after the deletion (the topic was still deleting). This is now fixed.
Fix - There were a few broken links in the creator planning process of a brand new topic from the framework update (see below) - all now fixed.
Fix - Some learners were seeing an error after submitting a response to some Q&A (the response was still submitting). This is now fixed.
13 February 2025 (Release 11037)
Feature - New setting to allow a completed Task or a completed Upload to set a topic to complete. Following yesterday's release of this feature for Q&A, now Task and Upload elements have the same option - creators can enable either element to set an entire topic to complete once that Task or Upload element is complete.
Tweak - We've added 7 more fonts to the Brand Fonts list: Bebas Neue,
Work Sans, Ubuntu, Raleway, Titillium, Noto Serif and Comic Neue.
Fix - We tweaked a little bit of UI in a few places where there were a couple of inconsistencies in padding or fonts after the last Framework update (see below).
12 February 2025 (Release 11028)
IMPORTANT - Articles have been deprecated and merged into topics. As outlined in this Changelog and Admin Newsletters for the last six months, and in the Fresh Habits community webinar on 11 February 2025, we have completed the process of deprecating the concept of 'articles'. All articles are now topics. No articles, data or enrolments have been lost or impacted - this is simply a labelling change. Admins can now find their articles in the list of topics. Creators can now switch between standard topics (the old topics) and short topics (the old articles). Learn more in this article.
Feature - Sage AI Transform updated again! Sage AI Transform can now create Narrations, including both natural language scripts as well as summary text for slides. You can now also transform content into Quotes - with six different types of quotes created by the AI to offer creators a range of ideas from literal quotes, to summary quotes to motivational quotes!
Feature - New setting to allow a completed Q&A to set a topic to complete. Creators have a new option for Q&A which allows the entire topic to be set to complete once the Q&A is finalised. This option may assist in some topics where a learner may have submitted a final Q&A for assessment but not click on the final button to complete the final part of the topic. The same option is coming to Tasks and Uploads in the next update.
Fix - Assessors were unable to delete uploaded files they had attached to a graded task, upload or Q&A. This is now resolved.
Fix - Admins could not copy topics between parent and child portals - they can now!
Fix - When a library topic was imported and that topic contained a narration, then the very first learner who watched the narration may have encountered an error while the audio files were created upon the first load of the narration. This error only occurred if the learner attempted to play the narration before the audio files were created and a page refresh would resolve the issue (and no further learners were impacted). To assist with this edge case, we have updated narrations to only enable the play button after the audio files are created (which only occurs the very first time a narration is played).
6 February 2025 (Release 10978)
Feature - Sage AI Transform Updated again! Now you can also create Checklist items using Transform - very handy to summarise a bunch of content and present it as a list of to-do items.
Tweak - Pathways (and topics, but this issue is about pathways) have an option to recertify an enrolment in a different pathway. That process was working perfectly except for the rare instance when the new pathway had exactly the same topics as the old pathway. This scenario wasn't initially considered for this feature, as it would be assumed that the learner would just recertify in the same pathway (since it is the same topics). We have updated code, however, to handle this scenario for those instances where the two pathways happen to have the same topics but might have different pathway names (like 2024 and 2025 pathway titles).
Fix - The Topic Review and Topic Polish emails which creators could request were not sending after the framework update (below). They are now.
Fix - The Scenario element has given creators some grief over the last week after we attempted to fix a little issue with the Cancel button in that element. We have now resolved those issues. The Scenario element also wasn't respecting line breaks when viewed by learners - it does now.
Fix - About a half-dozen pages in the Admin area were not redirecting properly when selected by Admins (leading to 'Dang' errors) after the framework update below. That's resolved.
5 February 2025 (Release 10963)
Feature - New 'Checklist' layout for the Interact element. There's a great new, interactive layout for Interact called Checklist. It presents learners with up to 20 items (each item can have a title, text and image). The learner needs to check off each item in the checklist. This can be mandatory or optional. Note that this is not an assessable interaction and we do not track which items are checked. This is a learning interaction, designed to step the learner through a process or thoughts.
Feature - Sage AI Transform updated! Creators can now use Transform to build several more elements.
Text - Transform content into a new text element, with options for tone (which is a lot of fun to work with) and length. Great for rewriting or summarising content.
Fill-In - Create 'fill in the blank' or 'answer this question' quizzes in the Fill-In element.
Fix - Seems like placeholder insights were causing that section containing the placeholder not to load for learners. That's resolved.
3 February 2025 (Release 10949)
Fix - Changes to the topic overview were not saving after the framework update (see below) - they are now!
Fix - When admins were assigning creators and assessors to topics in the Admin area on the Access tab of a topic, the dropdown menu selection process was not very efficient and, when the list of assessors and creators was over 30, it could be unreliable. We have fixed this dropdown to be far more efficiency, show up to 100 selected assessors or creators at once and (hopefully) avoid any issues with reliability.
31 January 2025 (Release 10931)
Library - "New Manager" series. We've updated a bunch of existing topics about management with improved layouts and interactions, plus created 12 new mini-topics focused on "New Managers".
Tweak - We've add 5 more characters to the Scenario element taking the total to 46. More coming soon!
Tweak - PDF Topic was failing if the topic contained more than 25MB of images (which is quite a lot of images!). We have added in a check for images sizes before the PDF process begins and if the sum of images sizes is too large, creators will now see a warning and the PDF process will not proceed.
Fix - The framework update (see below) broke the topic selector for pathways. That's resolved now.
Fix - The framework update (see below) meant that the toggle for In Progress vs Completed topics wasn't always showing on the learner homepage - now it is.
30 January 2025 (Release 10916)
Framework Update - This release includes a massive update to one of our core frameworks which runs our user interface. Ideally, there is no change for any user, but 'under the hood' things are newer, faster, better. There are substantial changes behind the scenes and we have been testing for two full weeks before deployment, but there are risks of some edge case issues. We will be monitoring things carefully for the next week. Please contact support if you feel something is off in the user interface. Completing this task frees up our Development team to get back to new features!
Deprecation Work - We have applied more changes to the UI ahead of the imminent deprecation of 'articles' (see above).
Fix - We added the option for the Interact element to have more than 10 items a few weeks back, but it seems some of our Interact layouts decided not to play nicely with this change and weren't showing items 11-20. They all are now!
Fix - Closing the Glossary tab in a topic using the ESC key was causing some UI issues. ESC now works correctly.
22 January 2025 (Release 10820)
Deprecation Work - We have begun the process of deprecating Articles (see above). This is a 2-3 week process, during which time there may be some small inconsistencies in the UI as we remove instances of 'article' and replace it with 'topic'. This update changes the following:
The filters to select topics and articles for pathways, analytics and the 'Enrol in knowledge' bulk action no longer reference articles. Instead, all articles are now shown with topics (so Active Topics includes all topics and articles).
The Timelines report no longer have separate events for Articles. All previous Article events are now Topic Events (so Article Updated is now shown as Topic Updated).
Feature - Sage AI Transform updated! Big update - creators can now select from existing elements in a topic (or an entire section of elements, an entire part or even the entire topic) to provide content for Transform. This means creators can, say, select an existing Narration as the content and then quiz as the Output to make a quiz from the script of that Narration. This feature is available for all organisations with Sage AI Transform access to should further accelerate content creations. Learn more here!
Tweak - We've added a Spinal Tap's worth - 11 - new characters to Scenario! There are now over 40 characters with yet more to come in the next few weeks.
Tweak - The keyword search on Admin/People now works for a search phrase (e.g. Tribal Habits) rather than just one word (Tribal). So you can now search for someone using their first and last name. ๐
Tweak - The Scenario element in Creator mode is now wider (which makes it look closer to the full width of the learner version).
Fix - EEEK! When we updated Hotspot last week to the new creator UI, it broke the first two markers on newly created Hotspots. That's fixed.
Fix - When a part has an assessable element (like an assessable Upload) and the element was failed, the final 'complete this part' button was styled red and disabled. The wording on that red button was also red, so this didn't meet WCAG requirements! It does now and is much easier for everyone to read.
Fix - In certain situations, when copying a Glossary between topics, the items in the copied Glossary would appear in a different order. Now they will copy in the same order as the original Glossary. Note that this wont fix Glossaries already copied with this issue - you will need to recopy.
Fix - Users were unable to clear the expiry date of a Certificate saved in External Knowledge - they can now.
Fix - When a topic had an Assessment enabled and toggled some quizzes to only show in the Assessment and then disabled the Assessment without changing the setting on those quizzes, those quizzes become 'invisible'! It's pretty rare, but we fixed it anyway so the quizzes remain visible in this edge case.
Fix - When editing the Scenario element, creators couldn't 'Cancel' their changes (to revert to previous version). They can now.

Feature - Sage AI Transform updated! We've added all the interact layouts to Sage AI Transform (for organisations on Active/Business/Stored plans). These are more complex transformations and can generate a Process layout with steps, an Acronym layout (which is quite fun), Timelines layout for events occurring over a time period plus tabs, lists, flipcards and more.
Tweak - Interact element now accepts up to 20 items and has the improved drag and drop UI seen in the new Slideshow element.
Fix - When copying the new Slideshow element, it wasn't always immediately displaying the images in the slideshow to creators, which made it hard to realise the element had been copied. That's fixed now.
15 January 2025 (Release 10737)
Feature - Sage AI Transform is available! Our next piece of AI technology has launched. Sage AI Transform allows creators to transform existing content into Tribal Habits elements. We are initially launching with plain text content and outputs of Quizzes and Accordions, but there are lots more content and output options coming over the next few weeks. Note that access to this feature, including certain content and output options, requires certain plans. Learn more in this article.
Tweak - Narration and Hotspot elements now accept up to 20 items and have the improved drag and drop UI seen in the new Slideshow element.
Tweak - PDF Topic now includes Scenario, Slideshow and Event elements.
Fix - The description text box for the Overview image in a topic went missing - its back from its holiday and visible again.
Fix - The recent update to our Zapier integration to fire the Update Person trigger for deactivated/reactivated people stopped firing. It's firing again now!
8 January 2025 (Release 10662)
Feature - New Slideshow element is available! We have a new element for creators to kick off 2025 - slideshow. This element allows creators to add up to 20 images into a scrolling slideshow, including captions. Learn more in this article!
Tweak - We have updated our Zapier application so that the trigger for an updated person is now also triggered if the person is deactivated (or reactivated) or becomes an admin (or is no longer an admin).
Tweak - We have restricted the Overview image in topics to be JPG or PNG to help with some compatibility requirements with certificates of completion and topics which are showing the overview image on the certificate. Note that PNG images must be non-interlaced PNGs (which are the majority of PNGs, but some older image editors may also create interlaced PNGs, which are not compatible with the PDF format of our certificates of completion and can result in errors).
Fix - Seems like we had a little error with Activities (reminder - they are being deprecated in the next few months). That's fixed!

Happy New Year!
Tweak - Admins can now filter All People by Language. The Admin/People table now displays languages for each user and the CSV download for users includes their language. The Public API can now also set languages for users.
Tweak - The Analytics reports for Completed Dates and Certified Dates now only display Enrolled People in the table when that option is selected (to see all people, select the All People option).
Tweak - We've added tool tips to various options in Creator mode to help out new Creators.
Tweak - Certificates of Completion now once again show the Overview image from a topic if that topic has that option enabled. NOTE: Overview images should be small (both in pixels and size) to fit onto the Certificate template. Also, Overview images must be JPG or non-interlaced PNG format.
Tweak - The Analytics/Downloads table is finally fixed so that if you have a really complex and long filter, you can now still see the Download column on the table without having to Zoom out! At last!
Fix - The Scenario element wasn't displaying correctly on some mobile devices - now it is!
