Roadmap

Please note that our library roadmap is subject to change and not a guarantee of a new topic or within the outlined timeframe. Library topics sometimes take longer to create or we are delayed by external review or other priorities. If you would like to provide ideas for future library modules, please contact our support team.

In Progress

  • Risk management for workers (NZ). A New Zealand-specific version of this topic.

  • Psychosocial awareness for employees (AU). A topic building awareness of psychosocial hazards, expected behaviours, and how employees can recognise and report risks in line with Australian WHS obligations.

  • Psychosocial awareness for managers (AU). A topic covering manager duties to identify, manage and control psychosocial hazards and support psychologically safe workplaces under Australian WHS law.

Plans for the future

  • Writing effective emails. A topic providing practical techniques for writing clear, concise, and professional emails that are well-structured, action-oriented, and appropriate for different workplace audiences.

  • New topics related to early childhood services are planned, including:

    • Active supervision in early learning (NZ)

      Allergy awareness in early learning (NZ)

    • Guiding children’s behaviours in early learning (NZ)

  • Performance management for employees. Explains how employees can actively participate in the performance process, prepare for reviews, seek feedback, and align their efforts with expectations and goals.

  • How to read and understand a budget. Introduces non-finance staff to basic budgeting concepts, how to interpret numbers and variances, and how to use budget information to make informed decisions.

  • Safety for adults-at-risk (NZ). A topic dedicated to recognising, responding to, and preventing harm to vulnerable adults, while understanding the legal, ethical, and cultural responsibilities for safeguarding their rights, dignity, and wellbeing.

  • Domestic and family violence awareness (NZ). New topics designed to raise awareness of the signs and impacts of domestic and family violence (DFV), the workplace’s role in supporting safety and wellbeing, and how employees can respond appropriately. The content is relevant to both New Zealand and global contexts.

  • Recognising and responding to domestic and family violence (NZ). New topics designed to help people working with children, families, or vulnerable individuals recognise and respond to domestic and family violence (DFV) safely, professionally, and with care. These topics focus on global and New Zealand contexts.

  • NEW - Warden Training 1: Emergency preparation (NZ) has been added to the library. This topic is about understanding the role of a warden in a New Zealand workplace and how effective emergency preparation helps keep people safe. It explains what emergencies are, how people typically behave in emergency situations, and why prevention and preparedness are critical.

  • NEW - Warden Training 2: Emergency response (NZ) has been added to the library. This topic builds on emergency preparation by focusing on how wardens respond during an actual emergency. It explains what happens once an incident occurs, including recognising emergency warnings, coordinating evacuations, using emergency systems, managing people safely, and supporting emergency services.

  • NEW - Safety for Children (VIC) has been added to the library. This topic explains how to keep children safe in Victorian workplaces and community settings, including preventing harm, recognising and reporting abuse, and meeting child safety laws and behaviour standards.

  • NEW - Risk management for managers (NZ) has been added to the library. This topic is about understanding and managing workplace risk in a New Zealand context. It explains how risk management works under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (HSWA) and the role managers play in identifying hazards, assessing risks, and selecting effective control measures.

  • NEW - Workplace incident investigation (NZ) has been added to the library. This topic explains how incidents, near misses and notifiable events are identified, reported and investigated under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015. It covers reporting responsibilities, when PCBUs must notify WorkSafe New Zealand, and how hazards contribute to incidents, as well as a practical investigation process focused on evidence and improvement.

  • NEW - Recognising misconduct, poor performance and absenteeism (NZ) has been added to the library. This topic supports learners to identify and understand misconduct, poor performance, and absenteeism in the context of New Zealand employment law and workplace practice.

  • NEW - Office and workspace ergonomics (NZ) has been added to the library. This topic supports New Zealand based learners in creating a safe, healthy and productive workspace.

  • NEW - Managing staff underperformance (NZ) has been added to the library. This topic equips managers with the foundational skills required to manage staff underperformance confidently and in line with New Zealand employment expectations.

  • NEW - Safety for children (NZ) has been added to the library. This topic covers the care and safety of children in community, organisational and institutional settings, within a New Zealand context.

  • MAJOR UPDATE - Warden Training 1 (AU) to version 5.0. Updated to reflect Australian compliance requirements and currency, and to incorporate general improvements and clarifications. A New Zealand–specific version will follow.

  • MAJOR UPDATE - Warden Training 2 (AU) to version 6.0. Updated to reflect Australian compliance requirements and currency, and to incorporate general improvements and clarifications. A New Zealand–specific version will follow.

  • NEW - Onboarding excellence: Creating successful inductions has been added to the library. This new topic guides HR and managers through designing and delivering effective onboarding experiences that balance compliance, culture, and capability from day one.
