Overview

The External Knowledge report shows information about external knowledge recorded for your explorers in Tribal Habits.

Note: If you do not see the 'External knowledge' report option in Analytics, you may have 'External Knowledge' disabled.

To enable External Knowledge, please review this article here to understand it's functionality and then review your settings in Admin -> Account -> Subscription for the 'External Knowledge' option.

Please also note: Only Super Admins can enable or disable External Knowledge.

By default, this report shows details of all recorded external knowledge, however, you can filter the report by:

  • External training type (training, certificate, qualification, license, document)

  • Title (a keyword or phrase from the title of the external knowledge)

  • Provider (a keyword or phrase from the name of the provider)

  • People (default and custom fields)

  • Categories (any categories that exist in your portal)

  • Skills (any skills that exist in your portal)

  • Roles (any roles that exist in your portal)

  • Completed and expiry dates (selected periods of time or custom dates)

After creating a filter, you can save it as a favourite search using the 'Save Search' button. Favourite searches are available when you click the star button (next to the 'Save Search' button).

To clear all applied filters, click the 'Reset' button.

Report downloads

You can download your report as a CSV file using the download button.

When you download reports, CSV files are generated in the background. Once ready, they can be accessed (and downloaded to your computer) from the Downloads area of Analytics.

Your downloaded External Knowledge reports will be available to you for 30 days following their download, and are not visible to other users.

For auditing purposes, all downloads are recorded in the Timelines report.

Example

The ABCE Training company is interested in seeing the number of explorers with an external certificate that expires within the next three months.

They use the External Knowledge report, filtering by external knowledge, titles and the expiry date.
