Overview

The Answers report provides details of all explorer choices and selections when participating in polls, quizzes, assessments, and matching activities across all knowledge (including those enabled in the Overview and Destination modules).

Locating the Answers report

  • From Analytics (all topics): Navigate to Admin → Analytics and click the Answers report tile under the Contributions report category. This view shows answers from all knowledge in your portal by default.

  • From a specific topic: You can also access Answers from within an individual topic by opening the topic and selecting the Answers tab. In this view, the report is pre-filtered to that topic, while the layout and filters remain the same as the Analytics version.

Filtering your report

By default, this report shows details of answers to all polls, quizzes, assessments and matching activities in all knowledge in your portal for the last 6 months, however, you can filter the report by:

  • Knowledge: topics and pathways

  • Enrolment status: all, current or lapsed

  • Date: a selected period of time or custom dates during which answers were captured

  • People: default and custom fields

  • Categories: any categories that exist in your portal

  • Questions: a keyword or phrase from the question asked

  • Answers: a keyword or phrase from the answers received

  • Labels: the label you provide for polls and quizzes when creating them

  • Elements: the type of element which answers were captured from: Assessment, Match, Poll, Quiz, or Sage

  • Roles: any roles that exist in your portal

Important: This report shows data by default for the last 6 months, if you have not had any answers within that timeframe you will need to change the 'All Dates' filter to expand the search.

Note: Follow our guide to learn how to save your favourite filters and download reports.

Example

The ABCE Training Company wants to see how many explorers correctly answered the quiz questions within their topic “Introduction to ABCE”.

They use the Answers report, filtering knowledge to “Introduction to ABCE”.

Can I delete answers from this report?

  • In Analytics: You can view, filter, and download answers only.

  • In a topic: You can also select multiple answer selections (to polls, quizzes, etc.) and delete them in bulk (using the Bulk Action button). This action is only available when viewing Answers from a specific topic.

This is useful when an admin needs to remove selected answer records from a topic, as it allows them to quickly locate and delete the relevant data.

Important: Please note that deleted answers cannot be recovered.
