Overview

The Observations - Results report allows you to drill down into a specific Observation for a topic to see how learners performed against each individual checklist item on their first attempt.

Rather than showing overall outcomes, this report breaks results down section by section and item by item, making it easy to identify exactly where learners are succeeding and where they are struggling.

Note: The report displays as Observations First Results, reflecting that all results shown are from learners' first attempts.

The report outlines:

  • Total first attempts for the specific Observation

  • Each section and checklist item in the Observation, listed in order

  • The percentage and number of learners who passed each item

  • The percentage and number of learners who failed each item

  • The percentage and number of learners marked N/A for each item

  • The average score for each item across first attempts

Note: To see overall attempt counts and pass rates, use the Observations - Attempts report. To compare learner scores between first and final attempts, use the Observations - Scores report. For a snapshot across all Observations, use the Observations report.

Example

ABCDE company wants to understand which parts of their new employee in-store evaluation are causing learners the most difficulty.

Filtering the Observations - Results report to the relevant topic and Observation, they can see that learners are passing every item in the food safety section, but nearly half are failing the first item in the customer greeting section.

This tells them exactly where to focus their training before the next round of evaluations, rather than guessing from overall pass rates alone.

FAQs

What does the N/A column mean?
N/A shows how many learners had that checklist item marked as not applicable during their assessment, rather than being passed or failed on it.

Why does the report only show first attempts?
This report is designed to show how learners perform on each item before any coaching or retries, giving you a true picture of training effectiveness. To see how scores change across attempts, use the Observations - Scores report.
