Overview

Great work on getting this far! You're now ready to communicate your new platform to the rest of your organisation.

In this step, you’ll plan and execute your internal communication. This is step 9 in the implementation process (it follows step 8 – Training settings). After this step, you’ll do step 10 – Managers.

How to complete this step?

Now that you have your first training ready, it’s time to communicate your new platform with the rest of your organisation!

To complete this step, follow the process below:

  1. Decide on your method of communication. Some common examples are:

    1. A simple email sent to your staff;

    2. A meeting or presentation;

    3. A combination of an email and a presentation.

  2. Prepare your method of communication. This could be drafting your email or preparing some simple PowerPoint slides.

  3. Send your email, or complete your presentation.

What are the best practices with this step?

  • It’s important to properly communicate with your staff about this exciting change before they use the platform.

  • Your internal communication should include why you’ve made this change and the benefits to your staff.

  • Many organisations choose to wait to send invitation emails to users until after they have completed their internal communication. If you’ve instead chosen to send your invitation emails during your user upload in previous steps, you can ignore action 4 above.

What are examples of this step in action?

We’ve included an example email below to show you what your internal communication might look like. Be sure to think about the benefits to your own organisation and customise it to you:

SUBJECT: Important announcement – Our new learning platform!

"Good morning,

We have a very exciting announcement to make! Our new learning platform, Tribal Habits, is now live.

Tribal Habits is an all-in-one online learning platform, meaning you can complete training online, reducing the need for you to attend face to face workshops. The platform also allows us to store all of our training in one place, so you no longer need to worry about storing paper workbooks!

Shortly, you will receive an email inviting you to join the platform. Please click on the link in the email to set your password.

In the coming week, you’ll also receive an email with the details of your first online training to complete on Anti-bullying. You’ll have 7 days to complete this training from the day you are enrolled.

We’re very excited about this new platform, and we’re sure you will be too!"
