June's session was a big one. Kathleen and Dave had a lot to get through - a bumper round of new features, a major platform showcase, and a sneak peek at what's coming up next.
On the new features front, highlights included:
learner event management now accessible from the homepage
a new one-stop security page for all things security
a new People Admin access type
enhanced auto-enrol links for topics and pathways (now supporting usage limits, expiry dates, and multiple links on pathways)
new version control settings that let admins assign reviewers and schedule content review dates.
Dave's showcase focused on Observations, a brand-new element and the biggest single addition to the creator toolkit to date. It fills a gap that Q&As and Tasks couldn't — supporting structured, multi-item competency assessments for both assessor-led verifications (like a workplace verification of competency) and learner-driven self-assessments (like a monthly store inspection checklist). Key features include mobile-friendly assessor workflows, offline PDF assessments, flexible full or partial retake options, and detailed reporting across multiple attempts.
Dave also gave a sneak peek at two features currently in development - a more powerful Assessment element with pre-assessment capability and flagging of critical questions, and a customisable Admin Dashboard. Both are expected to be live and demoed in our August Fresh Habits.
There were numerous additions to our training library, including in the Early Childhood Education and Anti-Money Laundering spaces, along with some minor updates to our Admin Handbooks and an assortment of other topics.
📅 The next Fresh Habits is 11 August. The next Sage Advice Masterclass on Driving Engagement with Goals is coming in July - registrations opening soon.
