Overview

The Roles People (Roles Assigned People) report shows the progress of individual users with assigned skills towards attaining those skills, as a percentage.

Note: This report is only visible if the Roles feature is in use within your portal.

Filtering your report

By default, this report shows all people, however, you can filter the report by:

  • People (default and custom fields)

  • Roles (any roles that exist in your portal)

  • Groups (any groups that exist in your portal)
Note: This filter option is only visible when 'Groups' are enabled in your portal.

Example

The BigBusiness company have been driving the professional development of a select group of employees as part of their succession planning.

For this, they've created a 'Leadership' role within their portal and assigned the associated skills to various topics and pathways. They've also assigned the role to the select employees in line for upcoming leadership opportunities.

They want to review the group's progress towards attaining the role, so they run a Roles People report filtered to see just those who have the 'Leadership' role assigned to them (using the Roles filter and selecting the 'Leadership' role).

The report shows varying percentages of attainment including some who are just 28% there and others who are already at 100%.
