All knowledge in Tribal Habits can be optionally enabled for learner unenrolments. This allows learners to unenrol themselves from specific topics and pathways.

To enable this option, navigate to the Access tab in the topic or pathway you want to enable the setting for and select the checkbox 'Learner unenrolments'.

How do learners unenrol themselves from knowledge

Once the 'learner unenrolment' option has been enabled for a topic or pathway, learners will now see an 'Unenrol' button on the topic or pathway in their Training tab for any knowledge not yet completed. When clicked, this opens a popup where they can confirm and unenrol from the selected topic or pathway.

How can admins identify which topics or pathways allow learner unenrolment?

In the Knowledge tab, admins can use the 'All Access' filter to view which topics and pathways have learner unenrolment enabled.

Important considerations

We recommend enabling this setting for content that would be optional for the learner to complete, Some reasons for this are:

  • Learners can unenrol from a topic or pathway regardless of how they were enrolled (i.e by an admin, auto-enrolment or via self enrolment in the catalogue). This means that if an admin enrols the learner and this setting is activated, then the learner can unenrol themselves. It is not restricted to catalogue enrolments only.

  • There is no recovery from an unenrolment. If a learner unenrols from a topic or pathway they need to complete, they will need to start again after being re-enrolled. As such, this feature is best suited to optional content.
