August's session had a bit of everything - a brand-new training library, a big batch of behind-the-scenes feature updates, and Dave's sneak peek at the new Assessment element and Admin Dashboard.
New training library
Kathleen kicked off with a brand-new library, built in partnership with HealthStaffEd and available now as an add-on to current plans
around 450 aged care, healthcare, and NDIS modules - built by registered nurses, peer reviewed, and trusted by nursing and midwifery unions across every Australian state
every module CPD-eligible against AHPRA registration board requirements
aged care modules mapped to the 2025 Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards
kept current by HealthStaffEd as standards change, with nothing for admins to maintain
New developments
Highlights included learner-driven retakes, pathway certificates that now include completed optional topics, overview images for pathways, and a new homepage PDF export of team progress for team leaders.
Product showcase
Dave's showcase focused on two major features still in development. The first is a new Assessment element, placeable anywhere in a topic rather than just as one assessment at the end. It supports multiple assessments per topic, critical questions that must always be answered correctly, pre-assessment logic that can mark parts (or whole topics) complete for learners who already know the content, and retaking only failed items instead of a full re-sit.
The second is a fully customisable Admin Dashboard, replacing the current static dashboard. Admins can build multiple personal dashboards from a growing library of modules, filter each down to specific groups or roles, and subscribe to templates published by super admins.
Dave also previewed an upcoming change to child portal sharing, letting parent portals push topics directly into child portal libraries - with updates flowing through automatically instead of manual copying.
Library updates
July was a huge month for library updates, including new AU and NZ essentials topics, new ECEC and global topics, three new topics on psychological safety, and coming soon - five new in-depth AI topics.
📅 The next Fresh Habits is 13 October. The next Sage Advice Masterclass on optimising topic and pathway settings is coming in September - registrations opening soon.
